Webster Drilling & Exploration was contracted by Southeast Asian Exploration to carry out the drilling and loading programme for the East Coast 2D seismic survey for NZ Energy Corporation. The project required drilling 986 shot holes across challenging terrain in the Marumaru and Morere areas.
Operating from a staging area near Morere Tea Rooms & Camp, the project utilised a combination of helicopter-portable rigs and tractor-mounted equipment to access difficult terrain across five seismic lines. The crew successfully completed 984 of the 986 planned holes, demonstrating exceptional project execution in demanding conditions.
